In this era of eco-consciousness, a green cocktail no longer refers to a drink with Midori liqueur as its main ingredient. In fact, several new premium spirits, such as McCormick Distilling’s 360 Vodka have recently entered the marketplace and feature organic or earth-friendly origins.
In the case of 360 Vodka, McCormick has made total philosophical and operational commitment to eco-awareness throughout the distilling, bottling, and packaging process.
Made from 100 percent locally grown grains, which negate the fossil fuel emissions in transportation, 360’s distillery was upgraded to reduce fossil fuel energy use by 21 percent. Also, by using a unique, state-of-the-art production process that consumes 200 percent less energy than the commonly used pot still method, 360 Vodka is five-times filtered to remove virtually all impurities.
As far as its packaging, 360 Vodka’s beautiful recycled glass bottle is composed of 85 percent recycled glass (most bottles are made of only 34% recycled glass), and all of the shipping materials (including the boxes in which cases of 360 Vodka are packaged) use biodegradable materials and 100 percent recycled paper.
McCormick Distilling Company is the oldest operating distillery in the United States. 360 Vodka launched in June and is available in 30 states; its national roll-out will be completed by the end of the year.
Now you can imbibe responsibly in more ways than one.
